Sec 2 Incidents of Violence
When should a "Code Blue" be announced to dispatch?
When scene conditions have deteriorated such that personnel fear for their lives. In addition to this announcement, the orange button on the top of the radio will be pressed. Dispatch will acknowledge with 3 successive microphone clicks followed by radio silence until interdiction is performed by law enforcement.

Sec 3 Taser Probe Removal
What are the steps of probe removal?
- Scene safety
- Taser powered off
- Patient verified restrained
- Assess trauma/illness
- Evaluate anatomical location
- Treat probe as contaminated needle
- Find notch marking location of barb, place fingers in "V" alongside probe, and remove
- Examine probe for possible barb breakage
- Place probe in appropriate receptacle
- Provide wound care, including EKG if indicated

Contact patient destination hospital for approval to divert. If approval is denied, continue as directed and document.

Sec 7 Working Fire Alarms
What are the response levels for the different alarms?
- First alarm - Units recommended in the dispatch tables
- Second alarm - Next 3 closest units, including Hazmat for bottle filling, and Ambulance dedicated to rehab
- Third alarm - Mutual aid of 2 engines, 1 ambulance and one truck. Last available PCFD unit will move up to 33 and coordinate mutual aid efforts.
- Fourth alarm - Mutual aid of 2 engines, 1 truck, and mandatory callback of off duty PCFD personnel.
In a disaster scenario with the possibility of disrupted communications, personnel should assume fourth alarm is in effect. Following a family well-being check, personnel should report for duty.

- Initial PIO duties fall to IC. IC can designate a primary PIO until Staff PIO arrives.
