    • noninflammable, non explosives, and doestnot support fire

    high density , increase airway resistance so unsuitable for asthma patient
  5. CNS
    • blunt sympathetic response 
    • can be used for intubation
  6. Cardio and neuroprotection
    b/c of antiapoptotic and NMDA receptor antagonist

    doesnt undergo in human body
  8. Advantage over n2o
    • rapid induction and recovery
    • more potent
    • non teratogenic
    • no ozone depletion
    • better analgesia
    • no expansion of cavities
    • no second gas effect and diffusion hypoxia
    • no anemias
  9. disadvantages
    • 100 times more costly
    • increased airway resistance, so cant be used in asthmatic
    • priming of circuit is necessary
