• The only exception is that there are no outer layer fibers between the 5- and 7-o'clock positions adjacent to the corpus spongiosum. At their attachment in the midline dorsally and ventrally, the fibers of the septal strands are interwoven with the fibers of the inner circular layer of the tunica albuginea.
• 

The outer fundiform ligament is continuous with the lower end of the linea alba and splits into laminae that completely surround the body of the penis.

The inner, triangular-shaped suspensory ligament is attached to the anterior aspect of the symphysis pubis and blends with the fascia of the penis below it.

Iliolumbar artery, the lateral sacral artery, and the superior gluteal artery are the branches of the posterior trunk of the internal iliac artery.

Superficial arterial supply to the penile skin and dartos is from inferior external pudendal arteries that arise from first portion of the femoral artery 



Blood supply of deep structures of penis - from Common penile artery which is the terminal branch of internal pudendal artery. The internal pudendal artery is the terminal branch of the anterior trunk of the internal iliac artery. After giving off its perineal branch, the internal pudendal artery becomes the common penile artery.

Branches of CPA are 

• - Bulbourethral artery - first branch 
• - Dorsal artery of penis - Continuation of CPA , gives off 3–10 circumflex branches
• - Cavernosal artery 

• The genital skin has a dual (proximal and distal) and bilateral blood supply, forming a fasciocutaneous system.   
• The corpus spongiosum receives blood from the common penile artery, the terminal branch of the internal pudendal artery. 
• The corpus spongiosum also has a dual blood supply—a proximal blood supply and a retrograde blood supply through the dorsal arteries as they arborize in the glans penis.
