  1. All pumpers parked in sub-freezing temperatures should be parked with motors idling at about
    • 700-800 rpm
    • pumps in gear,
    • flowing water from the booster line into the tank fill opening
  2. When using chains do not exceed
    25 miles per hour
  3. If unsure you need chains, all questions should be referred through
    the chain of command to the on-duty Deputy Chief
