    Highest level of tide during a tidal cycle
  7. Tidal Range
    Difference between level of water at high and low water
  8. Neap Tide
    Occurs just after half moon
  9. Spring Tide
    Occur just after new and full moons
  10. MHWN/MLWN
    • Mean High/Low Water Neaps
    • Average height of a neap tide at high and low water
  11. MHWS/MLWS
    • Mean High/Low Water Springs
    • Average height of a spring tide at high and low water
  12. Rise of Tide
    Height of tide above low water for a particular tidal cycle.
  13. Charted Depth
    Depth below Chart Datum
  14. Drying Height
    Height above Chart Datum for which an object dries
  15. Depth of Water
    Height of tide plus charted depth
  16. Clearance Under an Object
    Height of object from HAT
