Who owns my dental radiographs?
All dental records including x-rays belong to the dentist. A patient can request copies of x-rays or request that they be digitally sent electronically to referring dentist.
Dentist will not need a signed release of records to send to specialist the we refer them to.
If pt. want copy for own records or is switching dentist a signed records release is needed. Some dentist will charge a duplication fee.
