- Most have origins from bone and insert in soft tissue- originate on the surface of the skull.
- Orbicularis Oris- closes and purses lip
- Buccinator- pulls mouth laterally
- Levator Labii Superious- elevates upper lip
- Orbicularis oculi- closses eyelid
- Depressor anguli oris- pulls lower lip down
- Mentalis- raises chin and protrudes lip
