    This is the values that make up a digital signal

    This is made up of eight bits of information

    This is a device whose resistance decreases when it is heated

    It can be used in an electric circuit to monitor body temperature

    This transmits a large voltage across the heart to make it beat with a normal rhythm
  8. What is magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)?
    This uses a very strong magnetic field to create an image of the inside of the body
  9. What is an ultrasound?
    This involves high frequency sound waves passed into the body and reflected to a receiver

    It can be used as a safe way to view babies during pregnancy
  10. What is an endoscope?
    This contains optical fibres in which light is internally reflected along the fibres to allow you to see an image of the inside of the body
