T/O & Ldg minima

  1. 7 Parameters for Reduced T/O minima
    • Pilots
    • Airport
    • Aircraft
    • Performance
    • Visibility
    • Crosswind
    • Alternate Aerodrome
  2. Pilot considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥800m
Both pilots must be qualified to perform a reduced minima take-off
  3. Pilot considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
    • Both pilots must be qualified to perform a reduced minima takeoff.
    • the takeoff must be performed by CM1.
  4. Airport considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥800m
    • The runway must be approved for a reduced minima takeoff (refer to Route Guide).
    • The runway must have centerline markings or operative centerline lighting.
  5. Airport considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
    • The runway must be approved for a reduced minima takeoff (refer to Route Guide).
    • The runway must have centerline markings or operative centerline lighting.
    • The runway edge lighting must be on.
    • The secondary power supply and automatic switch over must be serviceable.
  6. Aircraft considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥800m
The ATPCS uptrim and autofeather system must be operative.
  7. Aircraft considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
The ATPCS uptrim and autofeather system must be operative.
  8. Performance considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
Full runway length must be used for tkeoff.
  9. Visibility considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥800m
When lined up on the runway, the PIC must confirm that the visibility is at least 800m (14rows of runway edge lights are visible)
  10. Visibility considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
When lined up on the runway, the PIC must confirm that the visibility is at least 400m (7 rows of runway edge lights are visible)
  11. Crosswind considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
    Max croswind is 10kts
  12. Alternate aerodrome considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥800m
A departure aternate aerodrome must be nominated.
  13. Alternate aerodrome considerations with reduced t/o minima when vis is ≥400m
A departure aternate aerodrome must be nominated.
  14. What is the T/O minima if not perscribed in the NZAIP
    • Ceiling 300ft
    • Vis 1500m
  15. Runway Visual Range (RVR) Landing
AA or CH - Vis in touchdown zone bust be at or above 550m
  16. Alternate aerodome critera for precision approach
    • Ceiling
    • 600ft; or
    • 200ft above DA/DH (whichever is higher)

    • Visibility
    • 3000m; or
    • 1000m more than the prescribed minimum (whichever is greater)
  17. Alternate aerodome critera for non-precision approach
    • Ceiling
    • 800ft; or
    • 200ft above MDA/MDH (whichever is higher)

    • Visibility
    • 4000m; or
    • 1500m more than the prescribed minimum (whichever is greater)
  18. Non weather considerations for altenate aerodorme
    • Secondary power supply for ground based nav aids.
    • Secondary power supply for lighting at night.
