  1. What is ground water?
    Ground water is a source of fresh water that is stored under the surface.
  2. What is the water table?
    It is the upper surface of groundwater reservoir.
  3. How do we usually get ground water out of the ground?
    By a modern day drill.
  4. How do most solid rocks soak up water?
    By the many pores on the out side of the rock
  5. What is a cone of depression?
    It is a cone in the water table.
  6. What is hardness?
    It is where water builds up sediment which can clog many things.
  7. What is hard water?
    Sediment filled water.
  8. What is soft water?
    It is filtered water that contains no sediment.
  9. What are somethings that can be used to soften water?
    borax tablets, soda, and certain phosphate compounds
  10. What is a cave?
    It is a naturally occurring underground space.
  11. What is a speleologist?
    It is a person who studies on how a cave forms.
