    front (belly) side of body

    back side of the body
  3. deep
    away from the surface

    on the surface

    near the point of attachment to the trunk or near the beginning of structure

    far from point of attachment to trunk or far from beginning of structure
  7. Medial
    Pertaining to middle or nearer the medial plane of body
  8. Lateral
    pertaining to the side
  9. inferior
    below another structure
  10. Superior
    Above another structure
  11. Supine
    Laying on back (face is up, palm up)
  12. Prone
    lying on belly (on the face)
  13. RUQ
    Right Upper Quadrant
  14. LUQ
    Left upper quadant
