    • 0 = absent response
    • 1+ = DEC response (Tone change; No visible movement)
    • 2+ = NORMAL
    • 3+ = exaggerated (Full movement of extremities)
    • 4+ = hyperactive (Obligatory & sustained movement; Lasting > 30 sec)

    • Stroking of lateral foot from calcareous to base of 5th MTT & medially across MTT heads
    • Abnormal = DF of big toe + fanning (ABD) of other toes
  13. Abdominal reflex - innervation
    T6-L1
  14. Abdominal reflex - action + reaction
    • Lateral to medial scratching of skin (toward umbilicus) in each of 4 quadrants
    • Normal = Deviation of umbilicus toward stimulus
  15. Cremasteric reflex - innervation
    L1-L2
  16. Cremasteric reflex - action + reaction
    • Stroking of skin of proximal/medial thigh
    • Normal = elevation of testicle
  17. Primitive/Spinal reflexes - 4
    • Flexor withdrawal
    • Crossed extension reflex
    • Traction
    • Grasp
  18. Primitive/Spinal reflexes - present in who? - 2
    • Developmentally in normal infants
    • Some pts w/brain injury
  19. Flexor withdrawal - action + reaction
    • Noxious stimulus to sole of foot
    • Toe Extension
    • Ankle DF
    • Flexion of entire LE
  20. Crossed extension reflex - action + reaction
    • Noxious stimulus to sole of foot
    • Flexion of stimulated leg + extension/ADD of opposite leg
  21. Traction reflex - action + reaction
    • Grasping forearm & pulling
    • Total flexion response of UE
  22. Grasp reflex - action + reaction
    • Maintain P to palm of hand(palmar grasp) or ball of foot (plantar grasp)
    • Maintained flexion of finger or toes
