  1. Mnemonic for coupled movements of spine - coupled movements are SB & Rotation
    • NOT SO FAST - approximately
    • (N)OSO = Neutral spine (& extension) = Opposite for upper cervical; Same for mid cervical/upper thoracic; Opposite for lower thoracic/lumbar
    • (F)OSS = Flexion = Opposite for upper cervical; Same for mid cervical + thoracic + lumbar
  2. C0-C2 - SB & rotation - how
    Opposite
  3. C2-C7 - SB & rotation - how
    Same
  4. Lumbar/thoracic - neutral (& extension) - SB & rotation - how
    Opposite
  5. Lumbar/thoracic - flexion - SB & rotation - how
    Same
  6. Spine - facet movement w/extension - cervical, thoracic, lumbar
    B/L Downglides
  7. Spine - facet movement w/flexion - cervical, thoracic, lumbar
    B/L Upglides
  8. Spine - facet movement w/SB - cervical, thoracic, lumbar; Ex: SB R
    • IPSI Downglide/CONTRA Upglide
    • Ex: SB R = R downglide/L upglide
  9. Spine - facet movement w/Rotation - cervical, thoracic, lumbar; Ex: R rotation
    • IPSI Downglide/CONTRA Upglide
    • Ex: Rotate R = R downglide/L upglide
  10. C-spine - facet movement w/Rotation - where is gapping (separation) & closing (approximation)?
    • IPSI Closing/CONTRA Gapping
    • Image Upload 2
  11. T & L-Spine - facet movement w/Rotation - where is gapping (separation) & closing (approximation)?
    • IPSI Gapping/CONTRA Closing
    • Image Upload 4
  12. Thoracic - Upper & lower - vertebral body rotates how w/flexion? SPs?
    • Vertebral body - same
    • SPs - opposite
  13. Jt mobilization - INC Thoracic extension
    B/L downglide
  14. In order to create a B/L downglide of T6 on T7, what mobilization technique must be used? What position is this performed in?
    • B/L downglide = extension (of T6 on T7)
    • PA of T6 SP of T7 TP’s of
  15. In order to create B/L upglide of T3 on T4, what mobilization technique must be used? What position is this performed in?
    • B/L upglide = flexion (of T3 on T4)
    • PA of SP of T3 OR TP’s of T4
  16. In order to create a R rotation of T8 on T9, what mobilization technique must be used? What position is this performed in?
  17. In order to create a L rotation of T6 on T7, what mobilization technique must be used? What position is this performed in?
  18. To correct a closing restriction of T5 on T6 - 2?
    • PA of T6 TP @ 60 deg = downglide at T5-T6 & upglide of T6 on T7
    • PA of T7 SP = downglide on T7 on T8 or Upglide of T6 on T7jQuery110108279520907240421_1482945904229?????
