  1. What is Hypotonic?
    Less solute per solvent to what is compared to.
  2. What is Hypertonic?
    More solute per solvent  to what is compared to.
  3. What is Isotonic?
    Equal solute per solvent to other solution.
  4. #1 Rule
    water moves from hypotonic solution to the hypertonic solution.
  5. Diffusion:
    movement of a particle from a greater concentration to one with less concentration. 
  6. Osmosis:
    diffusion of water across a membrane.
  7. Turgor Pressure:
    when the cells expand.
  8. Plasmolysis:
    the cell may shrink away from the rigid cell wall.
