How to use test lamps
- Proving unit.
- Single phase. Test L to N, L to E, N to E.
- 3 Phase L to N, L to L
lights: no light, normal, extreme bright light.

Polarity testing
Use either martindale or test lamps to indicate correct polarity.
Ensure correct polarity at cut out and after meter.
Reversed polarity is dangerous and requires immediate attention.
