What conditions require an ABORTED ENGINE START?
- No EGT rise within 20 seconds of selecting Fuel lever ON.
- EGT rising rapidly or approaching start limit (535C). (If EGT reaches 400C before 30% N2 anticipate a possible hot start.)
- N1 rotation is not observed by 40% N2.
- N2 fails to stabilize at idle within 120 seconds of selecting Fuel lever ON.
- Reported tailpipe fire (Maintenance Action Required).
- Premature start valve closure (below 45% N2).
