Tail Rotor loss of Thrust/Components
Warning:
Aggressive application of aft cyclic can cause the main rotor to contact the tailboom. When pitched nose-down, do not aggressively apply aft cyclic. Catastrophic damage can result from main rotor contact with the tailboom.

Pedals locked at hover (left YAW)
Warning:
Application of power below 30 KIAS can start a rapid rotation to the right. Consider the helicopter committed to land below 30 KIAS. Rapid rotation with the pedals locked can result in loss of control.

-
Emergency Shutdown
Warning:
Caution:
- Warning: Rapid engagement of rotor brake on ice or slippery surfaces can cause the rotorcraft to rotate. Avoid rapid rotor brake engagement on slippery surfaces. Sudden rotorcraft rotation can cause loss of control.
- Caution: Low rotor rpm and wind can cause excessive rotor flapping and/or coning. Do not use collective and/or pedal inputs to slow the main rotor blades. Excessive flapping or coning can cause equipment damage.
-
Emergency shutdown
- Throttle...............Close
- Fuel Valve Swit....Off
- Bat Swit.............Off
- Rotor Brake........Engage, allow rotors to stop
- Helo...................Open or jettison doors and egress.
-
Engine restart (in-flight)
Caution:
TOT rises rapidly in engine restart at high altitude. Do not do an engine restart above 12000'. Engine restart above 12000' will cause TOT to rise too fast to control.
- Altimeter..............Check for sufficient Altitude
- Collective.............Maintain 90%-107% Nr

Helo....................LAND ASAP, monitor gage
-
Fuel boost pump failure
Warning:
Bank/Pitch inputs combined with a low fuel condition can cause air ingestion in the fuel lines. Do not exceed 10 deg bank or pitch with less than 15 gal. Air ingestion can cause loss of power or engine flameout.
- Fuel Press..................Check
- Helo..........................Land ASAP a dual pump failure can cause the loss of head pressure to the eng-driven fuel pump and result in power loss
-
Engine Fuel Filter
Helo.................Land as soon as possible
-
Metallic Particles
- Chip FAULT caution light switch....Press then release
- Helo.........................................Land ASAP
-
Icing Conditions
Warning:
- Turning the ENG ANTI-ICE ON after encountering icing can cause ice to break off the inlet guide vanes and enter into the compressor. Unless absolutely necessary the helo is to be landed and shutdown prior to continuing flight with the ENG ANTI -ICE ON. Ice ingestion into the compressor can cause engine damages and loss of power.
- Helo............Fly clear of icing conditions
