  1. Pectoralis Major
    • Clavicle, sternum and costal cartilages of 2nd to 6th ribs
    • Greater tubercle and lateral lip of the intertubercular sulcus of humerus
    • Adducts, Medially Rotates arm @ shoulder jt
    • Also Flexes (clavicular) and Extends (sternal)
    • Medial and Lateral Pectoral Nerves
  2. Latissimus Dorsi
    • Spines of T7-L5, Lumbar Vertebrae, Crests of Sacrum and Ilium, Inferior 4 ribs via thoracolumbar fascia
    • Intertubercular Sulcus of Humerus
    • Extends, Adducts, and Medially Rotates arm @ shoulder jt
    • Thoracodorsal Nerve
  3. Deltoid
    • Acromial extremity of Clavicle, Acromion, Spine of scapula
    • Deltoid Tuberosity of Humerus
    • Abduction (whole), Flexion and Medial Rotation (ant fibers), Extension and Lateral Rotation (post fibers)
    • Axillary Nerve
  4. Subscapularis
    • Subscapular fossa of scapula
    • Lesser Tubercle of humerus
    • Medial Rotation of arm @ shoulder jt
    • Upper and Lower Subscapular Nerve
  5. Supraspinatus
    • Supraspinous fossa of scapula
    • Greater Tubercle of humerus
    • Assist Deltoid in Abduction of arm @ shoulder jt
    • Suprascapular Nerve
  6. Infraspinatus
    • Infraspinous fossa of scapula
    • Greater Tubercle of Humerus
    • Lateral Rotation of arm @ shoulder jt
    • Suprascapular Nerve
  7. Teres Major
    • Inferior angle of scapula
    • Medial Lip of Intertubercular sulcus of humerus
    • Extension, Adduction, Medial Rotation of arm @ shoulder jt
    • Lower Subscapular Nerve
  8. Teres Minor
    • Inferior lateral border of scapula
    • Greater Tubercle of Humerus
