  1. Sagittal
    vertical plane that divides the structure into right and left sides
  2. What are the two types of Sagittal?
    • midsagittal
    • parasagittal
  3. Midsagittal
    passes directly through the midline of the structure
  4. Parasagittal
    divides the structure into unequal halves
  5. Frontal/Coronal
    divides the structure into anterior and posterior portions
  6. Transverse
    divides the structure into superior and inferior portions
  7. Oblique
    passes through the structure at an angle between the transverse plane and either a sagittal or frontal plane
  8. Section
    one flat surface of a 3D object
