Rules of Divisibility.txt

  1. An integer is divisible by 2 if...
    the integer is even.
  2. An integer is divisible by 3 if...
    the SUM of the integers DIGITS is divisible by 3
  3. An integer is divisible by 4 if...
    the integer is divisible by 2 twice, or if the LAST TWO digits are divisible by 4.
  4. An integer is divisible by 5 if...
    the integer ends in 5 or 0
  5. An integer is divisible by 6 if...
    the integer is divisble by BOTH 2 and 3
  6. An integer is divisible by 8 if...
    the integer is divisble by 2 THREE TIMES, or if the LAST THREE digits are divisible by 8
  7. An integer is divisible by 9 if...
    the SUM of the integers digits is divisble by 9
  8. An integer is divisible by 10 if...
    if the integer ends in 0
