- (high risk: mountain M - mefloquine, malarone, doxy mạnh)
- 2. chloroquine, proguanil
- (low risk: chloro vừa đủ thành pro)

Treatment of active infection
Always depend on species, if unknown treat for P.falciparum
- (giữ lại 1 cái từ prophylaxis)
- 1. P. falciparum: quinine + tetracycline
- (thưởng xuyên: tetra 4 đầu muỗi quy niên)
- 2. Non - P.falciparum: chloroquine + primaquine
- (giữ lại chloro + (trước là pro, chừ là đỉnh, hoa hậu) prima-quine

Prophylaxis: Side effects + when to take
- 1.
- - Mefloquine
- +psychiatric reaction (mê flo độc -> psy)+long t1/2 so 2-3 weeks b4 travel and 4 weeks after leaving
- - Malarone:
- +mild gastric problems
- + good for short trip (one ngắn), 2 days before and 7 days after)
- 2.
- - Chloroquine
- + Visual change, seizures
- + 1 weeks b4 and 4 after
(thuong 4 week after)

- 2.Primaquine
- - mild gastric symptoms
- - not in G6PD deficiency - haemolysis
- Both: primaquine & chloroquine: caution in G6PD dè
(quy nieen - nghe văng vẳng, hoa hậu - đau bụng, đi GP G6PD)

Riamet - artermether + lumefantrine
- Falciprum
- S.E: ↑ QT, abdo pain, GI upset
- CI: Hx of arrythmias, ↑QT
