  1. location & function of bladder
    • anterior portion of the pelvic cavity, posterior to the pubic symphisis
    • to collect and store urine until it empties through the urethra

    • descend inferiorly from the kidnerys, they run anteriorly and medially, passing anterior to the psoas major muscles, behind the peritoneum and along the lateral aspect of the cervix and upper portion of the vagina where they enter the bladder at the trigone
