  1. 300 People Can't Be Wrong
You're saing "no" to me and that's alright...

Let's just pretend for a moment that you heard that a neighbor from 4 houses down, who's just like you (married, same # of kids, same age, etc) did not come home from work today because he was killed prematurely in a car accident.

As good neighbors you attend the funeral and there are 300 people at the funeral services. There's a widow and her young children sitting at the front next to the casket.

I have a simple question for you; Out of the 300 people, how many people had it come to their mind "I wonder if he had life insurance?"

Probably all 300 wouldn't you agree?

Would all 300 have the same exact thought if it wasn't very, very important?

    Let's get your family protected.
  2. Would you like fries with that?
I assume you're saying no because you don't like to make decisions without thinking about it first, is that correct?

Just to clarify for me, because I feel the same way.

See where it says "Life Insurance"? What's the next word?

    See that it says "Application"?

If you went tomorrow to McDonald's and filled out a Job application - is your life different at all?

The last I checked, McDonald's needs to offer you a job AND you need to accept the Job before anything changes in your life.

Nothing changes with completing an application except for you getting the benefit of free coverage starting tonight because the word "application" is not a "contract".

By the way, I totally agree with you that you shouldn't be signing a contract without time to review it.
  3. Your car or Your Life?
Have you ever bought a car before (new, used, or whatever)?

You can't drive it off the lot without getting car insurance.

So, the truth is that when we buy a care we can research the car all day long, but you get the car insurnace the day you drive it off the lot. Now once you have that car insurance, feel free to shop around and get tons of quotes and try to find a better deal. I want you do that with me.

I'd be happy to show you why we're better than everybody else too. But the most important thing is we don't know what's going to happen tomorrow. So, just like the car - if it's so important to have insurance before you drive the car off the lot, how much more important is it to make sure your family is protected?
  4. My Shoes
I appreciate how you're thinking, but just put yourself in my shoes for a second here.

God forbid something happens tomorrow. God forbid we don't do this today and tomorrow someone unexpected runs a red light and hits you and you don't make it home.

Let's say your whole family found out that I was here the night before and they call me and 30, 40, 50 of your closest friends and family ask me why I didn't get a check. They ask if by just getting a check it would have given the family free coverage without risking a penny.

If you were me, what would you say to all your friends and family?
  5. Sleepless Coach
What I really want to happen is this. For the three of us to have a great relationship together and for me to be your financial coach that helps you accomplish all of your goals and dreams. The last thing I want to do is come accross like some sort of pushy salesperson and ruin that relationship before it even has a chance to get started. That's the last thing I want.

    • So just please understand that I'm torn between two conflicting feelings:
    • On the one hand, the last thing I want is to be pushy and ask you for a check tonight.

On the other hand, God forbid there's an accident tomorrow and I didn't try as hard as I'm trying right now; I don't think I could ever go to sleep again for the rest of my life without thinking about it.

So one last time, if you're not risking a dime, is there any last reason not to at least get yourself covered?

Here's what I'll do, let's just do the application and the check and if you call me before 4pm tomorrow afternoon and say, "please don't mail it" - I won't mail it.
