- Action: laterally flex, rotate, elevate, retract, depress, or rotate scapula upward and/or elevate clavicle; extend neck

- Action: adducts & performs downward rotation of scapula

- Origin: Lateral one-third of the clavicle,acrimonium,and spine of thescapula
- Insertion: deltoid tuberosity of humerus
- Action: abducts shoulder, flexion and extension, medial and lateral rotation of humerus

- Origin: Inferior angle of the scapula, spinious process of the last six throacic vertebrae, last three of 4 ribs, thorcolumbar aproneurosis and posterior illiac crest
- Insertion: intertubercular groove of the humerus
- Action: extension, adduction, and medial rotation at shoulder
