Biology Cells

  1. What is the Nucleus?
The nucleus is the control center of all animal, plants, algae and fungi. It also hold the DNA.
  2. What is the Mitochondria?
Found in both plant and animal cells, they act as the digestive system and break down nutrients for energy. This process is called cellular respiration.
  3. What is the equation for cellular respiration?
    • Glucose+ Oxygen=Carbon dioxide+ water+ energy
    • or--- c6 h12 o6+ 6o2= 6co2+ 6h2o+ energy
  4. What are Chloroplasts?
Found in plant and protists, they work to convert energy from the sun to sugars. This process is called photosynthesis.
  5. What is the equation for photosynthesis?
    • Carbon Dioxide+ water= light= Glucose+ oxygen+ water
    • or 6co2+ 12h2o= light= c6h12o6+ 6o2+ 6h2o
  6. What are Ribosomes?
Ribosomes are organelles where the production of protein occurs
