- 1. Allergy
- 2. penetrating eye trauma
- 3. hyperkalemia / renal failure patients

Succinylcholine (Anectine) Precautions
- Must be expirienced with medication
- 1. advanced airway equipment readily available
- 2. drugs that enhance effect: lidocaine, procainamide, beta-blockers, magnesium sulfate, other neuromuscular blockers
- 3. Can cause lethal hyperkalemia in patient's with: burns, crush injuries, abdominal infections, tetanus, muscle disorders, denervating disorders

- 1. Respiratory depression and apnea
- 2. Aspiration
- 3. Arrhythmias, bradycardias, sinus arrest
- 4. incresased ICP
