    • 1. Must be reconstituted and used promptly
    • 2. onset of action may be 2-6 hours and thus should not be expected to be of use in first critical hour following an anaphylactic reaction unless used in sequence (epi then benedryl then solu-medrol)

    • 1. GI Bleed
    • 2. prolonged wound healing
    • 3. Suppression of natural steroids

    125-250 mg IV push over 5 to 10 min
