Subconctival hemorrhage is not uncommonly seen in patients presenting to the ED. A high-profile hemorrhage will take 10-14 days to resolve. What treatments can be recommended to reduce the recovery time?
Prescribing warm compresses and lubrication drops will help reduce recovery by 1-3 days (Emerg Med Clin NA, Vol. 26, pg. 35).
