    perceiving body movements through sensory mechanoreceptors in muscles, tendons, and joints.

    sensory receptors in muscles that sense tensions within them.
  3. What are pacinian corpuscles?
    specialized nerve endings associated with fast-adapting fibers that have large receptive fields.
  4. What are the stretch receptors?
    Ruffini endings, slow adapting with large receptive fields.
  5. what is the medial lemniscal pathway?
    pathway used to carry tactile and kinesthetic information more quickly to the brain. used for planning and executing rapid movements.
