Stress Related Mucosal Damage Prophylaxis

• respiratory failure needing mechanical ventilator
• coagulopathy (platelets <50,000 or INR >1.5)
• Acute renal failure (Scr >2.8 or CrCl <30)
• Traumatic brain injury (TBI)

• burns
• hypotension
• trauma
• GI bleed <12 wks
• transplant
• acute hepatic dysfunction
• meds (corticosteroids, NSAIDs, vasopressors)

those that are aren't on a mechanical ventilator, coagulopathic, in renal failure, or have TBI
