New hypnotic drug used in tx of insomnia, appears to bind to GABA receptors. Schedule IV. Has lower respiratory depression affects, little or no daytime drowsiness.

New non-benzodiazepine on the market. Slightly better than placebo, 15-30 minutes of sleep.

Anit-anxiety drug works on the hypothalamus. Reduces anxiety prior to medical procedure. Also used for allergies, and nausea.

New anti-anxiety drug, is not a controlled substance. Used for tx of anxiety associated with depression. Effects take weeks to develop.
