- don't remove if person is unable to clot
PA catheter
- if u change the position of pt., readjust the transducer
- phlebostatic axis leveled with transducer
- never allow balloon to remain inflated and wedged for more than 8-15 seconds
complications
- migration of catheter into right ventricle
- abnormal tracing - will show tall tracings
- v tach
- inability to wedge
