    • 1. Allergy to medication
    • 2. Narrow angle glaucoma
    • 3. shock
  5. Midazolam (Versed) precautions
    • 1. Advanced airway equipment must be readily available
    • 2. BE PREPARED FOR RESPIRATORY DEPRESSION
    • 3. Dilute with normal saline prior to administration
  6. Midazolam (Versed) Side effects
    • 1. respiratory depression and apnea (Flumazanil will reverse effects of Versed)
    • 2. drowsiness
    • 3. hypotension
    • 4. amnesia
  7. Midazolam (Versed) Dosage
    Slow IV: 1.0-2.5mg IV or IM titrated to effect
  8. Midazolam (Versed) Route
    IV, IM, IO
  9. Midazolam (Versed) How supplied
    10mg in 2ml
  10. Midazolam (Versed) Pediatric Dosage
    .05-1mg / kg to a max dose of 2mg. Repeat PRN
