  1. Myorrhexis
    The rupture or tearing of a muscle
  2. Myopathy
    Any pathologic change of disease of muscle tissue.

    Any pathologic change or disease in the spinal cord.

    A torn or jagged wound or an accidental cut.
  49. Lesion
    A pathologic change of tissues due to disease or injury
  50. Infection
    Invasion of the body by a patogenic organism
  51. Inflammation
    A localized response to an injury or to the destruction of tissues.
  52. Pyoderma
    Any acute, inflammatory, pus-forming bacterial skin infection such as impertigo.
  53. Pyrosis
    The burning sensation caused by the return of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus.
  54. Palpation
    An examination technique in which the examiner's hands are used to feel the texture, size, consistency, and location of certain body parts.
  55. Palpitation
    A pounding or racing heart with or without irregularity in rhythm.
  56. Sign
    objective evidence of disease, such as a fever.
  57. Suppuration
    The formation or discharge of pus.
  58. Syndrome
    A set of signs and symptoms that occur together as part of a specific disease process.
  59. Symptom
    Subjective evidence of a disease such as pain or headache.
  60. Remission
    Is the temporary, partial or complete disappearance of the symptoms of a disease without having achieved a cure.
  61. Pathology
    The study of all aspects of diseases.
  62. Interstitial
    Between, but not within, the parts of a tissue.
  63. Intramuscular
    Within the muscle.
  64. Otorhinoaryrgology
    Study of Ears, Nose, and Throat.
  65. Prognosis
    Is a prediction of the probable course and outcome of a disorder.
  66. Supination
    Act of rotation the arm so the palm of the hand is forward or upward.
  67. Phalanges
    Bones of the fingers and toes.
  68. Supracostal
    Above or outside the ribs.
