    AVPU - Alert, Verbal, responsive to Pain, Unresponsive - method used to to determine LOC

    • - a person's awareness in three areas: person, place, time
    • - disorientation begins with time, then place, and lastly person
  43. Alzheimer's Disease (AD)
    • - irreversible cognitive disorder
    • - impaired memory, judgment, orientation, and language skills
    • Three most common: AD, vascular dementia, Lewy Body Disease
