Salvation Scripture Verses

²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

¹⁰ As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one;

⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

¹⁶ "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

²¹ "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

⁸ For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— ⁹not by works, so that no one can boast.

³ I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

⁶ Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

⁹ That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

¹⁰ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

⁹ That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

¹⁰ For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

¹⁷ Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins.

Murder ²¹ "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder,a]'>[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' ²² But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca' (Aramaic for contempt), is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

Adultery ²⁷ "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. ²⁸ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

¹² "Therefore, son of man, say to your countrymen, 'The righteousness of the righteous man will not save him when he disobeys, and the wickedness of the wicked man will not cause him to fall when he turns from it. The righteous man, if he sins, will not be allowed to live because of his former righteousness.'

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. ²⁰ Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

²⁸ This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

²² Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

²⁵ God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—

³ In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

¹⁸ Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

¹⁶ know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁸ But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

³⁸ Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

¹⁸ For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

²⁵ He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

The Narrow and Wide Gates ¹³ "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. ¹⁴ But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

⁸ He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. ⁹ They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power

²⁴ I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins."

⁸ But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

²⁸ Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. ²⁹How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
