Benevolence - a disposition to do good; an act of kindness

• His benevolence to the family in need was admired by all who knew him. 
• John has a benevolent personality.

Blemish - a noticeable imperfection especially one that seriously impairs appearance.

Convey - to impart or communicate by statement, suggestion, gesture,or appearance      -  to transfer or deliver 

The teacher tried to convey to his students the importance of studying every night. 

The huge tractor trailer was the major conveyance that transported the supplies to the devastated area.

Covetous - having a craving for possession; marked by inordinate desire for wealth or possessions or for another's possessions 

She was very covetous and had to have exactly what her best friend had. 

Janet wanted to covet her neighbors treasured possessions.

Endeavor - to strive toachieve or reach

Gruel - a thin porridge

Horrid - innately offensiveor repulsive; shocking

Implore - to call upon in supplication

Lament - to moan aloud: wail 

The woman began to lament over the loss of her husband. 

The child lamentingly cried when he fell off the swing.

Malcontent - a discontented person; one who bears a grudge from a sense of grievance or thwarted ambition. 

Misanthrope - a person who hatesor distrusts humankind.

Miser - a mean grasping person; especially one who is extremely stingy with money. 

Morose - having a sullen and gloomy disposition. 

Obliged - to do a favor for; to put in one's debt by a favor or service.

Parliament - a formal conference for the discussion of public affairs; the British House of Commons 

Portly - heavy or rotund of body; stout

Provision - the act or processof providing; a measure taken beforehand to deal with a need or contingency.

Rakish - of, relating to, or characteristic of a rake. 

Repent – to feel or express sincere regret or remorse about one’s wrongdoing or sin. 

Shrewd – having or showing sharp powers or judgement.

Specter – A ghost.

Toil – To work extremely hard or incessantly. 

Void – Not valid or legally binding; completely empty.

Undertaker – a person whose business is preparing dead bodies for burial or cremation and making arrangements for funerals.   

Destitute – lacking possessions and resources; suffering extreme poverty. 

The homeless man was destitute. 

She walked into the church in a state of destitution.
