- Simple Squamous: single layered cells, flat cells, flat nuclei
- Simple Columnar: single layered cells, tall and skinny, lined up like Indians
- Simple Cuboidal: single layered cells, round cells and nucleus
- Stratified Squamous: layered flat cells
- Pseudostratified Columnar Epithelium: layered, nuclei will be at all different levels (NOT indian style) skinny and tall
- Transitional Epithelium: nuclei is round
