  1. Systematic circulation
    • -blood travels to body cells
    • -pumped from left side of heart to body then back through right atrium
  2. Pulmonary circulation
    Deoxygenated blood goes from right ventricle to the lungs and returns through the left side of the heart
  3. Coronary circulation
    • Oxygenated blood travels through tissues of the heart
    • Oxygenated blood from left ventricle leaves from 2 openings in the aorta
  4. Myogenic contraction
    Muscle contraction
  5. Sinoatrial node
    • -controls heart beat
    • -wall on right atrium
    • -generates electrical impulses
    • -causes atrias to relax and contract
  6. Atrioventricular node
    • -base of right atrium
    • -delays impulse
    • -Allows ventricles to fill with blood
  7. P wave
    Atrial excitation begins and atria contracts. Av valve opens,semilunar valve closes
  8. QRS wave
    Ventricular exvitation and ventricles contract. Av valve closes and semilunar valve opens.
  9. T wave
    Ventricles relax. Av valves open and semilunar valve closes
