Breakdown dietary fat to fatty acids, glycerol, mono- and diglycerides for absorption by the intestine. Then the absorbed product used to resynthesize TAG in intestinal cell, then distributed to diff tissue by LIPOPROPROTIEIN.

• - Hydrolyze TAG to glycerols and free fatty acids on adipocyte
• - Provide mech to store fatty acid so can be distribute to other tissues
• - Hormone regulate glucogon/epinephrine and insulin
