  1. EVENT
    Any collection of results or outcomes of a procedure.
  2. SIMPLE EVENT
    an outcome or an event that cannot be further broken down into simpler components.
  3. SAMPLE SPACE
    • consists of all possible simple events.
    • consists of all outcomes that cannot be broken down any further.
  4. STIMULATION
    process that behaves in the same ways as the procedure itself, so that similar results are produced.
  5. COMPOUND EVENT
    Any event combining 2 or more simple events.
  6. Disjoint/Mutually Exclusive
    When events A and B cannot occur at the same time.
