  1. Reasonable grounds (for making a search, pressing a charge, etc.)
    Probable Cause
  2. Trying a person twice in the same jurisdiction for the same crime, a practice prohibited by the 5th Amendment.
    Double Jeopardy
  3. Being forced or coerced to testify against oneself. This is prohibited by the 5th Amendment.
    Self-Incrimination
  4. The official and proper way of doing things in a legal case: must be done in a way that protects the rights of all people involved.
    Due Process
  5. A right of a government to take private property for public use ( must give fair value)
    Eminent Domain
  6. Treating all people and groups equally: not partial or biased.
    Impartial
  7. A non criminal lawsuit involving private property rights.
    Civil Case
