  1. Aspirin indications
    fever, pain, inflammatory conditions, prophalyxis for stroke/TIA/MI
  2. Aspirin side effects
    nausea, GI upset, heartburn, easy bruising, gum bleeding

    bleeding disorders, give w/food to prevent GI upset, give with full drink of water, do not crush, tell to report tinnitus/dizzines/confusio/abd pain
  4. Gavilax (polyethlyene glycol) indications
    constipation
  5. Gavilax (polyethlyene glycol) side effects
    Abdominal bloating, cramping, flatulence, nausea
  6. Gavilax (polyethlyene glycol) nursing implications
    Assess for abd pain/distension, presence of bowel sounds, usual bowel pattern. Hold if pt has diarheea or obstruction. Evlaution--formation of soft BM
  7. Metoprolol succinate indications
    Mild to moderate HTN, angina, III heart failure
  8. Metoprolol succinate side effects
    dizziness, drowsiness, lightheadiness, blurred vision, nausea, loss of appetite, nightmares, depression, sexual impotence
  9. Metoprolol succinate nursing implications
    Assess for bradycardia, heart block, cardiogenic shock, systolic <100, DM, asthma/COPD. Don't d/c rapidly. Ensure pt swallows SR tabs--do not crush or crew.
  10. Sertraline HCl indications
    Treatment of major depressive disorder, OCD, panic disorder, PTST, PMDD, social anxiety disorder
  11. Sertraline HCl s/e
    dizziness, drowsiness, nervousness, insomnia, n/v, dry m outh, esxcessive sweating
  12. Sertraline HCl nursing implications
    Use lower dose in elderly pts and those w/rhepatic/renal impairment, take at same time each day
  13. Tab-a-vite indications
    multivitamin
  14. Tab-a-vite s/e
    Constipation, diarrhea, or upset stomach
  15. Tab-a-vite nursing implications
    Contains folic acid
  16. Calcium with Vit D indications
    OA

    Bitter taste; bloating; cramping; diarrhea; gas; irritation around the rectum; throat irritation
  21. Docusate nursing implications
    Do not take w/intestinal blockage, if on low-salt diet, recent change in bowel habits
  22. Lorazapam indications
    anxiety
  23. Lorazapam s/e
    drowsiness, dizziness, tiredness, weakness, dry mouth, diarrhea, nausea, changes in appetite, restlessness or excitement, constipation, difficulty urinating, blurred vision, changes in sex drive or ability
  24. Lorazapam nursing implications
    Can be habit forming; do not OD; don't stop suddenly
  25. Lisinopril indications
    HBP, heart failure, improve survival after MI
  26. Lisinopril s/e
    cough, dizziness, headache, excessive tiredness, nausea, diarrhea, weakness, sneezing, runny nose, decrease in sexual ability, rash
  27. Lisinopril nursing implications
    Do not take if have DM, tell before any surgeries,
