What is an eclipse?
A shadow cast by the moon or the earth
What happens during a solar eclipse?
The sun is blocked by the moons shadow and the there is darkness on earth during the day for a few minutes.
What happens during a lunar eclipse?
The earths shadow blocks out the moon. We can's see the moon at night.
What causes a tide?
Tide is caused by the pull of gravity between the earth and the moon.
What are meteors?
Shooting stars
What are meteoroids?
Metal or stone objects that move through space.
What are meteorites?
They hit the ground and create craters.
What are asteroids?
Rocks found between mars and jupiter.
What are comets?
Made of rock, frozen gases and dust.
