  1. Cell
    Basic unit of life, every level of organization begins with this.
  2. Cell membrane
    A thin covering that separates the outside and the inside of the cells. It also controls the flow of materials into and out of cells.
  3. Cell wall
    Only in plants, tough rigid structure, prevents cell from bursting when moist and it supports
  4. Cytoplasm
    Jelly like substance that contains the organelles and other life-supporting materials like water and sugar.
  5. Mitochondria (Mitochondrion)
    Organelles that specializes in changing sugar called glucose into usable energy.
  6. Ribosomes
    Small organelles that do not have a membrane. Some floats int the cytoplasm and others are attached to the endoplasmic reticulum. They make protein.
  7. Proteins
    An essential material for the cell to carry out activities necessary for its survival.
