1. Can cause systemic hypotension
2. Calcium chloride should be available to prevent hypotensive effects

20mg IV bolus (.25mg per kg) over 2 minutes

IV: Slow push and piggyback

vials: 25mg in 5mL OR 50mg in 10mL
