Interphase
Four major phases of cell division - but this isn’t one of them. This is the normal state in which cells exist when they’re just busily
working away in their functioning state of the body - Interphase
Prophase
NOW SEE THE CHROMOSOMES FORMING - THREADY, SCRAMBLED EGG APPEARANCE
Metaphase
Here we have the paired chromatin forming along the mid-line, connected to the
spindle fibers - which you can consider (along with the centrioles) like a wench to
begin the next stage where we see the chromosomes line up in order to begin the
next phase when they will be moving apart from each other.
anaphase
Ana = Greek for “apart”
Telophase
Tele
- Greek for “end” or “finish
Cleavage furrow - sometimes looks like a
lightening of cytoplasm where furrow will be.
