Mannitol is an osmotic diuretic that draws water into the intravascular space through its hypertonic effects, that causes dieresis.

To reduce acute cerebral edema

• Pulmonary Edema
• Intracranial Bleeding

• Hypotension
• Hypertension
• Convulsions
