    • Number of new cases

    Attack rate: the incidence for a group with a specific risk
  2. Primary prevention
    Stopping someone from getting a disease - preventing incidence
  3. Prevalence
    • All Cases
    • Point prevalence: at a particular point in time
    • period prevalence: across a span of time
  4. Secondary Prevention
    reducing the number of cases of disease - preventing prevalance
  5. Tertiary prevention
    Decreasing the negative effects of the disease = increasign quality of life
