    • Comatose states
    • Pts who have received large amts of depressants (including ETOH)

    Precautions
    • Avoid accidental intraarterial injection
    • Extravasation can cause tissue damage ("Black box" warning)

    • May impair mental & physical ability
    • Drowsiness
